The role.

You will conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand users. You’ll use this research to develop a roadmap of optimisation ideas.

You will be responsible for:

  • Use a mix of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover behavioural insights. Including, website audits, web analytics, user journey analysis, heuristic reviews, user testing etc.
  • Articulate any insights discovered as part of your research and develop hypotheses.
  • Produce wireframes, information architecture diagrams, user stories, and personas to help articulate your insights and ideas.
  • Report and communicate the impact of your recommendations and tests to client stakeholders of all levels.
  • Show initiative and think outside the box. As a team we’re all driving towards the same goal, to help our clients succeed, don’t let a job title restrict your creativity.
  • Seamlessly convey ideas, define requirements, and challenge assumptions to advocate for users while respecting other points of view
  • Provide guidance to the Designers to ensure all deliverables are produced
  • Serve as UX strategist by leading overall design effort to align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations
  • influencing stakeholders, especially those not familiar with the design discipline – knowing when to listen, when to contribute and when to evangelize
  • be an expert in research, interaction design and UX design
  • be an active listener and experienced interviewer who enjoys using great questions to help participants drive the conversation
  • authoring presentations and conveying research findings, recommendations, and designs to stakeholders
  • create rapid prototypes to validate design and process concepts with stakeholders and users
  • clear understanding of “good” vs “bad” design, and why

Our ideal candidate:

You are driven, experimental, have an eye for UX and design, a team player, and be knowledgeable of new and emerging trends in the digital space.

  • Have experience of conducting successful user research.
  • Can develop wireframes and user flows that effectively communicate designs and user interactions using tools such as Miro, Sketch, Invision, & Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Can research and develop user personas.
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar and UserTesting.
  • Have a keen eye for digital and UX design.
  • Confident communicator

It would also be good, but not essential that you:

  • Help to coordinate, plan and lead working sessions as well as workshops/demos/meetings with key leadership and executive stakeholders

Experience:

  • Have 2+ years’ experience working within a UX, Research (or similar) position.
